This was my first time here and I LOVED IT! I got a Brazilian wax today with Magdalen. She was a gem, so kind and welcoming. I felt like I was home. The waxing process was quick AND it did NOT hurt! She’s such a lovely lady. She welcomed me very nicely and also made me very comfortable, made me laughed throughout the entire waxing process, which helped a lot to calm my nerves down. I went for my first Brazilian and it was an amazing experience! I was scared coming in as a first-timer, but Magdalen was very nice and super quick. It was a comfortable experience and we chatted throughout the process, which definitely helped. I thought I’d be a huge baby, but it honestly was not bad pain wise! Overall, it was a very easy process and I’ll definitely be back!

This was definitely the best waxing experience I’ve ever had! It was virtually pain free and fast. I’ve always been so scared of getting waxed but she did an amazing job and I will definitely be coming back. I also got a peel for my acne scars and it went great too. Definitely worth the money and she’s such a sweetheart!

Went to Ms. Magdalene for a hydrafacial and it was amazing. Aside from being extremely personable, she is also very knowledgeable. The first couple of minutes were used to assess my skin and decide what would be appropriate to do. She was very engaging through out the whole process, talked to me about each step and made sure I approved of her work! After, she made recommendations on skin care products and gave me instructions on how and when to use each one. Also, throughout the procedure, expect her to be the therapist and life coach you never had lol. It’s pricey but worth it. 10/10 recommend.

From my initial phone call with Ms.Magdalen to the end of my service she had me laughing. She has a kindhearted, fun spirit and great personality all around. Very direct with her expectations (be punctual) and will answer your questions. She is the only one in her shop and uses paper strip vs hard wax. I questioned the paper strips but my results were amazing and so smooth. I received a full Brazilian and underarm wax, its been a week since my service and no hair growth or skin issues from her products. Also, the pain was minimal and tolerable, I was on my cycle so you will be more sensitive. The positions are different from my normal but her reasoning was true. I been getting waxed for about 8-9yrs and she was a 10/10! Highly recommend Ms.Magdalen to anyone who is in the Rockville, MD area!

I had an amazing experience going to Magdalens. I suffered from acne, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation for a every long time. I went to her last week for the perfect derma peel and it completely changed from skin. It got rid of most of my hyperpigmentation, acne, and it lightened and got rid of my dark spots. I highly recommend Magdalen, she was super nice and professional. I highly recommend going to her.

I literally just got my Brazilian Wax from Mrs. Magdalen and she is the best. This was my second time getting wax and she made the experience very painless. She has great customer service and I say this because she was closed today but made an exception for me because I was in desperate need. I will definitely recommend her to all my friends. Auntie Magdalene is simply amazing. She is nice, welcoming and you can tell simply a happy woman. I did underarm and chin waxing today and I can definitely tell you it it was fast, almost pain free and she made sure it was smooth. Other places I go to always leave unsatisfied to chicken to complain but with Magdalene, I was completely satisfied. Loved talking with her and as a young woman she felt like a mom to me. Booked my next appointment before I left. Would 10/10 recommend if you are on the fence

So, let me start with I was terrified to get a Brazilian wax… I have been wanting to do this for years now..I searched and read online to find the easiest method possible .. I stumbled upon Magdalena’s while on Yelp and started reading her reviews .. I was like umm ok maybe I’ll give her a try .. I went to make my appt several times and backed out.. finally I decided to call her .. we talked and laughed as if we had met before .. by the time we hung up I was relaxed and excited.. once I arrived I was taken to the back and she said “ take your clothes off “ .. we started laughing and she said I told you I’m going to give you orders.. the entire experience from start to finish was not bad at all .. nothing like what I expected .. my next appt has beenmade and I will definitely be back.

Had an amazing first waxing experience! Magdalen is very professional and eased my nerves a lot. The pain is tolerable in comparison to other waxing places I’ve been. My skin isn’t irritated or have a reaction like it usually does. I recommend not trimming,, makes it cleaner.

I had my underarms waxed here, and it was the first time I had ever had them waxed. Magdalen was friendly and assuaged any anxieties I had. I'm also ticklish, and she was great about working with that as well. There wasn't much pain, which of course was a relief! She is very personable and had a great sense of humor, and just a lot of fun to talk to.

I was going to European Wax and always left in so much pain. I had decided that the pain outweighed the need and was not ever getting a wax again. You’ve seen and read all the 5-star reviews. Just go on ahead and go. If it’s possible to actually “enjoy” getting a Brazilian wax, this is certainly the place. From the moment I walked into the salon, Magdelen made me feel at ease. She is witty and funny, yet gets right down to business. I was prepared for it to be super painful, but to my surprise it really wasn’t too bad at all. She talked while she worked, which I liked because it made the time go by and she was thorough. You could be in and out before your lunch break is over. I’ll be back in 7 weeks!

I got a Brazilian wax and under arm wax from Magdalen today and it was amazing, it wasn’t painful at all, everything looks smooth, just amazing overall! I had went to another wax place prior to coming here and it was more painful, took longer, and I got ingrown hairs as well. I will never go to anyone else ever again!

Coming out of winter hibernation and no shave mode, I wanted to see if waxing could be a more low-maintenance option to shaving constantly. My hesitations included feeling awkward, pain, and cost. After going to Magdalen, those first 2 worries were assuaged and makes the cost worth it. Her outgoing and cheeky personality helps to put you at ease, and the pain was so much less than I thought it would be. The client before me was late, which she hates as the warnings on her booking page emphasize. But she's so skilled that I got out of there in 20 minutes and put her back on schedule. I'll definitely be coming back!

I came here earlier this afternoon for a Brazilian wax. Magdalen is a very pleasant person so the process of getting a Brazilian was a lot less painful and nerve wracking than I had anticipated (it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax). It literally took no time at all for her to wax me and assure that there was 100% no hairs left on me. Her spa is also very clean and you can tell she has a lot of care for what she does.I genuinely had such a great experience and I will be coming back in the future.

This was an amazing first wax experience. I was nervous going into my appointment but Magdalen made me super comfortable right away. The facility was super clean and relaxing. The wax wasn't painful at all and the service was quick. I am still just amazed at how smooth I am. Would definitely recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.Added 2/9/2022:I have been going to Magdalen for a year now not only for waxes but skincare. I had terrible breakouts due to stress which left my skin with a lot of dark marks. Magdalen suggested doing chemical peels. I had complete confidence in Magdalen and her knowledge so it was a no brainer to start treatments. The change in my skin has been amazing and I recommend doing this service if you’re ready to clear your skin. It’s totally worth it.

I previously had some sessions with the European Wax Center closest to me, but ended up with a severe infected hair follicle due to their specific type of process. I was on the search for a better technician and found Magdalen! I was nervous for my first visit, but she immediately put me at ease. The location was easy to locate, and parking for visitors is available. The place inside is well-organized and cleanly. She walked me through what to expect and went above and beyond. She was incredibly thorough and attentive and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Post-session, I did not feel itchy, irritated, or inflamed as I had in the past. With any good service, the cost equates to the care and experience. This service requires complete discretion and professionalism and Magdalen delivers this and more.

I went here for my first wax ever. Magdalen is great. She sent me a message to work out a scheduling conflict before it became an issue, which I really appreciated. The process wasn’t intimidating all, which is saying something for my first Brazilian wax! She really knows what she’s doing and removed all the hairs, even the tenacious ones, with minimal pain. The room has a scent that’s soothing but not overpowering, and it felt much more like a relaxing spa trip than I expected. Highly recommend.
